Monday Bites #3

Living savvy is not about unsustainable overhauls – it’s about the small changes we can make to create a life that is a little more fulfilling, a little more satisfying and a little more joyful.

Each Monday I share three simple ideas I have to fine-tune my own ordinary to live extraordinary this week, and I hope you will share yours!

Buy oil burners so I can burn oils at home (I always enjoy the scent when I walk into a room where one is burning).

Go out & have a pedicure (cold & windy weather kept me at home with a DIY Pedi a couple of weeks ago when this first made the list).

Have a massage while having a weekend break away in Byron Bay.

  • All three sound wonderful, but the most accessible approach is probably to give myself a pedicure (which I definitely need) and mooch more massages off my loved ones :P

    Other ideas:
-Write a letter to someone whose love you’ve taken for granted for a long time, and tell them how you feel, what you hope & dream for them. I’m about to leave my family for school after spending a long summer with them, and plan to do exactly this!

-Indulge in your favorite food, read your favorite book, and play your favorite song in the background- all at once! Why not? Ooh I really want to try this now, haha.

I really love your blog so far & your earnest approach to life is inspirational. Thanks for sharing!

    • Tessa, I have just returned from my pedi which I enjoyed with a friend for company, my toes are shiny and my feet are soft.

I love your idea of writing a letter someone. I was thinking only yesterday that I am going to make sure that sometimes I include doing things for others on my Monday Bites list (then it is a win-win, I feel good for making someone else feel good).

Your comment on my earnest approach to life, made me giggle as I have recently commented to a friend that we need to laugh more (not cynical laughter) but light, fun laughter.
