A weekly tradition where we pop the cork on the week that was, celebrate what worked, reflect on what didn’t, and look forward to a sparkling new week of possibility. I hope you’ll join me and share your reflections in the comments.
What am I celebrating?
The wonderful recovery of my friend from recent surgery – the tumour is gone, she can walk, and less than one week later she's back home!
What am I acknowledging?
How I am managing the ending (after 12 months of gradual decline) of a friendship that has been very important to me. I haven’t pushed myself to just 'get over it'. I understand that this is a process and that I'm allowed to experience and work with my feelings of sadness, anger, grief and relief.
What was missing?
Nothing was missing from my week. I spent last weekend on the beach in a wonderful 1930’s cottage in Byron Bay… amazing walks, sunshine, sea air and gelato – perfect! Still enjoying the post-weekend glow.
What small change can I make to have more of that next week?
Yesterday I wrote about how we can discover inspiration in funny places, even TV advertisements. This week I am going to be open to inspiration from quirky and unexpected sources. I’ll let you know how I go!
Ready to pop the cork with me? I’d love to hear about your week in the comments…
