![]() A few years ago I gave several very good (I thought!) reasons why I didn’t do bucket lists. But Living Savvy facebook regular, Tania, inspired me to change my mind. Read her story and check out my newly minted bucket list. ![]() In many years of coaching I have found that as soon as we begin to examine our lives closely, and to imagine what we might want to change, an avalanche of conflicting feelings and objections arise. We fear that if we go after our dream, it might become a nightmare. So how do we focus on the dream and disarm the nightmare? ![]() Over two decades of knowing Sara, I’ve watched her go after what she wants with passion and fierce determination—even when it’s been incredibly challenging. In the last few years that has meant a remarkable tree-change to a rural property with hubby and two daughters. So what’s stopping us from going after our dream? ![]() As 2011 came to a close, I simply savoured the time with my children, friends and family and, also, time away from the computer! But our perceptions of physical beauty may not be the only thing being distorted by unrealistic representations in the media… ![]() Having a great network of supporters is so important in any major endeavour – whether it’s to do with your business, your 9 to 5 job, or even a personal goal. You simply can’t do it all on your own. So, how do you inspire these people to really get ‘on board’ with your plans? ![]() For the past couple of weeks we’ve been talking about what it really takes to live your dream. First, we met my friend Sara, who made a radical tree-change with her husband and two daughters. Then we talked about the fear that can stop us going after our dream, and ways around the fear. And I promised to share some of the challenges I’ve experienced in making my dream of building a living savvy community a reality… ![]() In the Inside Living Savvy series, I’ll be sharing my experience of creating an online lifestyle program for women aspiring to live extraordinary lives. Join me for a peek behind the scenes. This week I share my thoughts on how we can create boundaries and space in our lives by saying ‘no’, and how living our dream life is not as simple as just saying ‘no’ more often. |
