I enjoy re-visiting posts from our Living Savvy archives. When I re-visit, I
tend to connect to the information and stories shared in a new way, discovering something different depending on what is going on for me or people in my life.
When I am coaching someone, very often an issue will come up that will
have me searching through the archives for a post best suited to help my client work through the process of Living Savvy, supporting them to ask, do, discover, commit & celebrate.
Through my work as a personal, executive and leadership coach, an organisational performance consultant, and a public speaker, I’ve come to know many fabulous women.
As I listened to their stories, I began to recognise the key characteristics that distinguished those women who were fulfilled, happy and truly successful. Of course, each story was different – some women were very rich while others lived incredibly simple lives, some had families they loved dearly while others treasured complete independence, some had endured tremendous struggle and loss. But they shared one important trait, an approach to life I call “living savvy”.
What is living savvy?
Living savvy means aspiring to live an extraordinary life – one that is rich in experience and fulfilling. Living savvy is about being well-informed – not just consuming quality information but taking also taking the next step to creatively apply new ideas to your life.
Living savvy is about forming meaningful connections with others.
Living savvy is about asking questions. What am I creating? How will I be remembered? Who completes me? What do I believe? What gets in the way?
Living savvy is about valuing the process as much as the outcome – savouring the moment as much as the final success.
Living savvy is about making conscious choices.
Living savvy is about the small changes you can make to your daily life, your habits and your mindset to produce amazing results – fine-tuning the ordinary to live extraordinary.
Living savvy for you
The wonderful thing about living savvy is that it is as individual as you.
Living savvy is an approach that evolves in line with your definition of success, your potential, and your needs. It’s not about fixing something that is ‘broken’ and it’s not about radically overhauling your life. Living savvy is about the every day choices you make create a live that is fulfilling, satisfying and joyful.
So, how are you choosing to live savvy today?
